Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Molly, a Chestertown native, a Navy-veteran, and the sole service provider behind The Neat Theory.

After attending the U.S. Naval Academy, I embarked on a Naval career with assignments in San Diego, Japan and New York City, as well as deployments to the Arabian Gulf and the South China Sea.

After completing my service, I set out to experience the world more deeply, teaching English in the Czech Republic and later backpacking through Australia. In Australia, I held several professional cleaning positions that planted the seeds for The Neat Theory including:

  • Purser & Head Housekeeper on Reef Encounter, a SCUBA Hotel Boat on the Great Barrier Reef

  • Housekeeper at Elements of Byron, a 5-Star resort in Byron Bay

  • Housekeeper at the Stanley Pub in Stanley, Tasmania

  • Cleaner of guest cottages in Stanley, Tasmania

  • Cleaner of McCain Potato Factory office and crew spaces in Smithton, Tasmania

It turns out, I actually really like cleaning! There's something deeply satisfying about turning chaos into calm and making a space feel refreshed. I also genuinely love a job that keeps me active and moving. That’s why upon returning home, I knew I wanted to create work that reflected my values: mastery, autonomy, and meaningful contribution to the community. With a commitment to delivering excellence and a desire to serve the community, I decided to launch The Neat Theory.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me traveling, attending a rock show, practicing drums, or pampering my cat.
